Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract This full-time SLP position offers an enriching opportunity to support K-8 students with severe behavioral needs in a school setting. Located in Woonsocket, RI, this contract role provides a year-round schedule with a 37.5-hour workweek, allowing for consistent engagement and professional growth.
Responsibilities include:
Delivering speech-language pathology services to students from kindergarten through 8th grade. Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to students with severe behavioral needs. Collaborating closely with educators, support staff, and families to ensure comprehensive care. Monitoring and documenting student progress while adapting interventions as needed. Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student success.
Desired qualifications and skills:
Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC or
SLP- CFY
). Experience working in school environments, particularly with students exhibiting severe behavioral challenges. Strong communication skills with an ability to work effectively as part of a supportive team. Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
