Responsibilities Include:
Performing thorough speech and language evaluations and diagnostic assessments for students. Developing, writing, and implementing effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Delivering direct therapy (individual and group sessions) while diligently monitoring progress. Engaging in IEP meetings, interdisciplinary consultations, and professional development activities. Collaborating closely with parents, teachers, and relevant school staff to foster student growth.
Key Role Details:
Full-time, 37.5-hour weekly schedule with paid administrative and meeting time. Service across one to two schools within an active, engaged educational community. K12 caseload; specific assignment details clarified during the interview phase. Onsite, in-person role (teletherapy-only roles are not available for this position).
Desired Background & Qualifications:
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders. Current or in-process South Carolina SLP state license. ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred. Ability to meet required state background and fingerprinting checks. Previous K12 school-based SLP experience beneficial but flexible, adaptable candidates are welcome.
