A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

Step into a dynamic, student-centered environment supporting Pre-K through primary school learners for the full academic year. A skilled Speech-Language Pathologist is needed for a 20-hour per week contract role, with opportunities available for fully credentialed SLPs (CCC), Clinical Fellows (CF), or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA). You'll work closely with a passionate team to foster communication growth and help students reach their full potential.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or valid SLPA credential Holds (or is eligible for) state licensure and relevant certifications (CCC, CF, or SLPA) Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred Strong foundation in assessment, intervention, and documentation for Pre-K and primary populations Collaborative attitude and excellent communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct and indirect therapy services to Pre-K and primary students, supporting a variety of communication needs Conduct assessments and develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in partnership with multidisciplinary teams Maintain documentation in accordance with district and legal requirements Consult with teachers, staff, and families to develop strategies that foster communication skills in the classroom Participate in team meetings and contribute to creating an inclusive learning environment at the MC Bailey building
