Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) in a dynamic school-based setting near Baytown, TX. In this role, you'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of students, helping them overcome communication challenges and achieve their educational goals.
Qualifications and Desired Background:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) Current state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist Previous experience in a school environment highly preferred Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Commitment to fostering students' academic and social growth
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication needs of students Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with other educational professionals Deliver direct and consultative therapy services in both individual and group settings Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and prepare required reports Collaborate with teachers, parents, and interdisciplinary teams to maximize student success Provide guidance and resources for classroom modifications and communication strategies Stay current with best practices, continuing education, and compliance standards This contract role is an excellent fit for passionate SLP-CCCs who thrive in collaborative environments and are dedicated to supporting the academic journey of every student.
