Overview Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation Fort Worth, Texas Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
Day Neuro PRN PRN Rate:

Responsibilities We are seeking a PRN Speech Language Pathologist to join our growing multi-disciplinary team in the Day Neuro setting. The position is PRN Monday-Friday during clinic hours 830-4 at Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation Fort Worth. The candidate will collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to treat patients with neurological injuries that include stroke, brain injury, SCI, and other neurological injuries. We are seeking a candidate with strong neurological rehab skills who works well in a team setting and can provide consistent availability and coverage. Perform comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans and deliver skilled interventions for patients in medical-surgical, ICU, telemetry and specialty units Participate in interdisciplinary discussions and make recommendations regarding NPO status, diet levels and instrumental assessments Document timely and accurately in the electronic medical record per hospital and regulatory standards Completing patient/family and staff education related to communication, cognition and swallowing, as appropriate Contribute to quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives within our team Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist required. Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association or eligibility for Certification pending professional experience required. Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required.
