Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity as an onsite Speech-Language Pathologist providing vital support for K-12 students across a dynamic school district near Denton, TX. Two experienced professionals are needed to join an enthusiastic educational team, with assignments starting immediately and extending through May 2027. This contract role is designed for individuals who are passionate about nurturing communication skills and making a genuine impact in the lives of students.
Key Qualifications:
Active Texas Speech-Language Pathology License Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required Previous experience in school settings serving K-12 students preferred Ability and willingness to supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) onsite Strong organization and communication skills Flexibility to work across various schools within the district
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver speech and language therapy to students with diverse communication needs Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and track student progress Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success Provide mentorship and supervision to onsite SLPAs as needed Adapt interventions and approaches based on caseload requirements and student needs You'll thrive in this position if you enjoy working with a wide range of age groups and communication challenges, and are eager to help students achieve their best potential.
