Overview We provide speech therapy services to support school districts in meeting the diverse needs of their students. Position Summary Desert Star Therapy is seeking a passionate and licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide school-based services to students in Pre-K through 12th grade at a public elementary school in El Paso, Texas (far east side). This is an excellent opportunity for an SLP who enjoys working with young learners and collaborating with educators and families to help students develop the communication skills they need for academic and lifelong success. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations, including articulation, language, fluency, voice, and pragmatic communication assessments. Develop and maintain compliant Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) based on students' educational needs. Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings as an active member of the multidisciplinary team. Manage a speech-language caseload. Supervise and support a licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). Provide speech therapy services for students with speech and language impairments. Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families to support student progress. Maintain accurate documentation and complete required compliance paperwork in a timely manner. Qualifications Current Texas license as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Experience in a school setting is preferred. Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills. Passion for helping school-aged students reach their communication goals.
