Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

Join our team and empower individuals through exceptional care! We are seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to provide high-quality care to our patients. The SLP will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, treating, and preventing communication and swallowing disorders. You will work with patients to develop and strengthen muscles used in swallowing, under the supervision of the Clinical Director.

Responsibilities:

Conduct swallowing assessments, including accurate history taking, examination, direct patient observation, and collaboration with the treatment team/attending physician, to establish diagnoses and treatment plans. Perform periodic re-evaluations of patients and adjust treatment plans as needed, in accordance with physician goals and orders. Document patient information clearly and concisely, identifying target symptoms. Document patient care at a frequency appropriate to the level of care required, and address referrals to internal departments and external providers as needed. Ensure compliance with facility documentation timeframe requirements. Provide and monitor facility Standard Operating Procedures to meet standards for compliance with accrediting agencies, including Joint Commission guidelines, CMS Standards, facility Policy and Directives, and HHSC Standards, Rules, and Directives.

Requirements:

Current and unrestricted license to practice Speech Language Pathology in the State of Texas through TDLR.

Experience:

1 Year (Preferred, New Grads excepted) Current

CPR/BCLS

certification (copy needed). Educated and compliant with all HIPAA regulations; maintains strict client confidentiality.

Additional Information:

No weekends Approximate start dates: 1st and 15th of each month. Minimum 3-month (12 weeks) contract with option to extend. Independent contractor Flexible Pay -

Weekly, Biweekly or Monthly Pay:

$55.00 - $65.00 per hour
