Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join the State Living Center in Harlingen, TX. The SLP will evaluate, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders while working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team. Key Responsibilities Evaluate and assess speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Provide therapeutic rehabilitation and habilitation services. Document evaluations, treatment plans, and progress in the electronic health record (EHR). Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams. Train and educate staff on treatment recommendations and therapy programs. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and team meetings. Requirements Active Texas Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) License (Required) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred Experience evaluating and treating speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders preferred. Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.

Pay:
