We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive speech and language services within a school district setting. This role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on students' academic, social, and communication success while working as part of a collaborative educational team. Position Overview The Speech-Language Pathologist will evaluate, diagnose, and provide treatment for students with speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication disorders. The SLP will collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary team members to support student achievement and ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal special education requirements. Key Responsibilities Evaluation & Assessment Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations in accordance with IDEA, Child Find requirements, state regulations, and district policies. Obtain informed consent and utilize data-driven practices to determine evaluation needs. Complete evaluations, written reports, and required documentation within established timelines. Participate in eligibility determinations and provide recommendations regarding services and programming. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with district, state, and federal requirements. Therapy & Student Services Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals. Provide direct and consultative speech-language services to students with communication disorders. Utilize evidence-based interventions and assistive technology, including Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems when appropriate. Monitor student progress and adjust treatment strategies as needed. Prepare and provide progress reports to families and educational teams in accordance with district timelines. Collaboration & Consultation Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and related service providers to support student success. Participate in IEP/ARD meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and professional development activities. Provide consultation and training to school personnel and families regarding communication needs and intervention strategies. Support implementation of accommodations and modifications that promote student access to the educational environment. Qualifications Required Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or a related field. Active state Speech-Language Pathology license or eligibility for licensure. State educational certification, credential, or authorization required for school-based practice (or ability to obtain). Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, if required by the assignment. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Preferred ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP). Previous experience in a school-based setting. Experience with IEP development and special education compliance. Knowledge of IDEA, FAPE, and related special education regulations. Experience with AAC devices and assistive technology.
