Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders for geriatric patients in our skilled nursing facility. Your expertise will help improve communication abilities and quality of life for those with speech impairments. You will collaborate closely with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized therapy plans that foster meaningful progress. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact through evidence-based practices and innovative therapy techniques. Duties Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for adult/geriatric populations. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized speech-language therapy plans tailored to each patient's needs. Provide direct therapy sessions in-person, utilizing engaging techniques suited for geriatrics in skilled nursing facilities.. Collaborate with caregivers and healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive care strategies and optimal patient outcomes. Document patient progress accurately in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR), maintaining compliance with medical terminology standards. Educate caregivers on speech-language strategies to support ongoing development at home or in other settings. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate comprehensive care for patients with complex needs or disabilities. Qualifications Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP). Experience working with the geriatric population. Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques, language therapy strategies, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to communication disorders. Proven ability to perform comprehensive speech and language evaluations across the adult/geriatric population. Demonstrated experience working with individuals with speech impairments, disabilities, or neurological conditions with adults. Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams and maintain clear communication with clients' families or caregivers. Pay:
$42.00 - $60.00 per hour Expected hours: 2.0 - 40.0 per week
