Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact by providing therapy services within an educational setting dedicated to supporting young learners. This contract opportunity focuses on delivering high-quality Occupational Therapy for a single PreK student as part of an Early Intervention program. You'll use your expertise to shape developmental milestones, collaborating with educators and caregivers to ensure the best possible outcomes. Ideal candidates bring strong communication skills and a passion for fostering growth in a school environment. Your role will involve a concentrated 4-hour commitment, tailored to address individualized needs and support the child's success outlined in their IEP.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) State licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Texas Experience in school-based SLP settings, preferably with early childhood or preK students Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation requirements Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and collaborative skills
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide Occupational Therapy services to one PreK student as outlined in the student's IEP Implement individualized therapy and early intervention strategies during dedicated 4-hour sessions Collaborate closely with classroom staff, families, and IEP team members to support the student's developmental goals Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state guidelines Offer recommendations and resources to caregivers and educators to further support the child's progress This is a unique opportunity to make a direct difference in a young child's educational journey, offering focused support within a warm and collaborative school environment.
