Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Take your passion for supporting student growth to the next level by making a difference in a school setting near Heathsville, VA. This contract position offers both full-time and part-time hours, allowing you to tailor your work schedule to your lifestyle. With weekdays running from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, you'll directly empower children and adolescents to achieve their communication goals. Expect to work alongside a collaborative educational team focused on delivering top-tier pediatric speech and language services. Whether you're a seasoned SLP-CCC or a recent CFY seeking school-based experience, your expertise will help shape brighter futures.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
Current and valid Virginia SLP license Experience or strong interest working in school or pediatric settings ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship (CFY) Knowledge of evidence-based practices in assessment and intervention Outstanding communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for students with speech, language, and communication challenges Provide individual and group therapy sessions in alignment with IEPs and educational objectives Conduct screenings and evaluations, maintaining accurate and confidential records Consult with teachers and families to optimize therapy outcomes and integrate strategies into the classroom Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to ongoing professional development This role offers a competitive hourly rate between $45 and $55, determined by your education and years of experience, with weekly pay for your convenience.
