9582537-20171 Job Description Make a difference in the lives of students ages 5-22 as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist working part-time in a supportive educational setting near Herndon, VA. This dynamic opportunity is ideal for those skilled in school-based speech therapy, teletherapy, or clinical fellowships, with a passion for helping learners develop vital communication skills. Work 2-3 days per week, approximately 20 hours, providing targeted interventions and innovative support to students with a broad range of needs.

Qualifications:

Current Virginia SLP license (open to Clinical Fellows) Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and verbal behavior Experience with school-aged students and/or in healthcare settings is welcome Familiarity with AAC devices (Proloquo2, Touch Chat) is highly valued Comfort working with students exhibiting challenging behaviors (aggression, self-injury, property destruction) is a plus

Responsibilities:

Deliver speech-language therapy services in-person or via teletherapy Collaborate with educators, support teams, and families to create individualized communication goals Assess, plan, and implement interventions for a diverse caseload, including students with significant behavioral needs Utilize AAC and assistive technology devices appropriately Maintain documentation, track progress, and participate in IEP or team meetings as required
