Category Therapy - Skilled - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding full-time contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting elementary school students (caseload of 60) for an 8-12 week maternity leave assignment with an immediate start. This role offers the flexibility to work onsite or through teletherapy, making it ideal for professionals who value adaptability in their work environment. Key qualifications:
Active Virginia (VA) Speech-Language Pathologist license (or eligibility) Experience working with pediatric and elementary-aged populations preferred Skilled in school-based SLP services, including direct therapy and documentation Comfortable with teletherapy platforms and technology (if remote) Ability to supervise or mentor CFY candidates is a plus Strong communication, organization, and collaboration abilities Your responsibilities will include: Assessing and diagnosing speech, language, and communication disorders Developing individualized therapy plans and IEP goals tailored to each student Delivering engaging therapy sessions—onsite or virtually Progress monitoring, documentation, and timely completion of reports Consulting and collaborating with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure holistic student support Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to multidisciplinary teams This assignment offers you the chance to focus your expertise in a supportive school setting with a manageable caseload, flexible scheduling options, and professional development opportunities.
