A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Schedule:
Full-time, Weekends; Weekdays, 8 Hour Shifts What You'll Do Provide evaluation and treatment for adult/geriatric residents with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders Collaborate with PT, OT, nursing, dietary and medical staff to deliver coordinated, holistic care Develop individualized treatment plans that honor each resident's goals and abilities Maintain accurate documentation with adequate time built into your schedule Participate in care planning meetings and family education as needed
Requirements:
What We're Looking For 1 - 2 years of experience Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current VA SLP license, CCC Passion for working with older adults Experience with IDDSI diets and dysphagia is preferred, though we can train Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset Commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care
