Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in a supportive school environment as a Speech Language Pathologist. This contract opportunity runs from November 9th through December 18th, offering a chance to work full-time (Monday to Friday) with an elementary school caseload. You'll collaborate with educators, families, and staff to ensure students receive the communication support they need to thrive.
Ideal qualifications and experience include:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist or eligibility for licensure in Virginia Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) or current enrollment in a Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CF) Prior experience in a school-based setting, preferably with elementary-aged students Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to efficiently manage a varied caseload and maintain accurate documentation Key responsibilities: Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for elementary students Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with each student's unique needs and goals Provide direct therapy services, both individual and group Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and parents to support students' progress Participate in IEP meetings and document all services provided Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current with best practices in the field This assignment offers a rewarding short-term opportunity for those passionate about helping children succeed academically and socially.
