Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by supporting their communication and learning needs across a range of school settings in the vibrant Virginia Beach and Norfolk area. This contract position is perfect for dedicated Speech Pathologists eager to provide assessment, intervention, and advocacy for K-12 students across several southern Virginia communities. You'll work a steady weekday schedule—7.33 hours per day, Monday through Friday—for the entire school year. Your role will span multiple locations, with opportunities to serve students in Chesapeake, Isle of Wight County, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Southampton County, Suffolk, and Virginia Beach. With several positions available, we welcome both experienced SLPs and recent graduates!
Qualifications & Experience:
Active license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Virginia (required) Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program Open to both Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not mandatory Strong communication and organizational skills to collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders among K-12 students Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs Deliver evidence-based therapy sessions, both individual and group Maintain records and compliance documentation efficiently Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to track progress and support student development This is an exciting opportunity for passionate Speech Pathologists to foster student growth and achievement within diverse school environments.
