This full-time position offers an immediate start, covering a maternity leave for 8-12 weeks. The role focuses mainly on working with a caseload of 60 elementary-aged learners, enriching their communication skills and fostering academic success. Flexibility is built in, with options for both onsite and teletherapy service delivery.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

Hold (or are eligible for) a valid Virginia SLP license (VA SLP) Experience or strong interest in elementary pediatric populations Open to SLP clinicians at all stages, including Clinical Fellows (CFY), experienced school-based SLPs, and candidates with healthcare or teletherapy backgrounds Proficiency with teletherapy platforms and remote service delivery is a plus Ability to coordinate effectively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams Strong organizational skills to manage a caseload of 60 Enthusiasm for creating engaging, individualized treatment plans

Primary Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments, develop and implement IEP goals, and provide speech-language intervention for elementary students Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state requirements Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and parents to maximize student progress Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to a positive, team-oriented school culture This contract role offers valuable experience supporting a welcoming community of students and staff.
