Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling Speech-Language Pathologist contract opportunity near Staunton, VA for the 2026-2027 school year! Both full-time and part-time clinicians are encouraged to explore working with a dynamic K-12 student population. This role is ideal for SLPs who are passionate about supporting the communication needs of school-aged children and eager to make a lasting impact in an educational setting.
Qualifications and Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current SLP license for the state in which services are provided Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Previous experience working with K-12 students preferred, though motivated new graduates will be considered Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Comfort adapting therapy techniques for diverse learners and maintaining detailed documentation
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and treat a range of speech, language, and communication disorders for K-12 students Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in alignment with school objectives Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary staff to foster student progress Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to a positive, inclusive school environment Provide direct and consultative therapeutic services in individual and group settings
