A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active or eligible state licensure as an SLP Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred, but Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are also welcomed Experience in school-based settings or with pediatric populations is valued Skilled in individualized educational planning and collaborative consultation with education teams Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal Strong organizational skills for a caseload spanning K-12th grade

Responsibilities:

Provide speech and language assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based intervention for students in grades K-12 Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals in collaboration with teachers, support staff, and families Document progress, maintain student records, and participate in IEP meetings Offer consultation to classroom teachers for strategies supporting communication needs within the school environment Support and educate families regarding student progress, at-home strategies, and resources Stay current with best practices and continue professional development as part of a dedicated educational team This contract placement allows you to make a meaningful impact across diverse age groups, helping students overcome barriers to communication and thrive academically and socially.
