Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a valued speech-language professional near Gig Harbor, WA. Work directly with a diverse school-aged population—making a meaningful difference while collaborating closely with educators and families. This in-person role ensures you're a vital part of each student's educational journey, focusing on their communication growth and well-being. To thrive in this position, you'll bring: A current WA State Department of Health SLP License Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) WA State SLP ESA (Educational Staff Associate) Certification Fingerprints and successful WSP and FBI background/sexual misconduct clearance Valid Washington State Driver's License or demonstrated mobility Prior experience in school-based settings (preferred) Strong skills in assessment, developing IEPs, and collaboration Commitment to the needs of pediatric and school-aged students Openness to working in a dynamic, student-centered environment Your key responsibilities will include: Providing speech-language therapy and interventions for school-aged students Conducting assessments and developing individualized treatment plans Writing and contributing to IEPs and progress reports Consulting and collaborating with teachers and families Maintaining accurate records meeting school and state guidelines Supporting students in-person, 37.5 hours per week, on student attendance days only This contract offers flexibility and the chance to work closely with other dedicated professionals, fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere.
