Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into an impactful position supporting K-12 students in a dynamic school environment near Gig Harbor, WA, for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract opportunity places you at the heart of student communication development, working 37.5 hours per week during student in-person days—offering a consistent schedule that matches school site hours. The ideal candidate will bring expertise and passion for school-based speech-language therapy, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to foster student growth and success.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active Washington State Department of Health SLP License required Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Washington State SLP ESA credential Valid WA State Driver's License or demonstrated mobility Completion of fingerprinting, WSP and FBI background clearance, and sexual misconduct clearance Prior experience in a school setting is preferred but not mandatory Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and other professionals
Responsibilities:
Assess and provide therapy for K-12 students with diverse speech and language needs Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals in accordance with state and federal guidelines Maintain accurate records and document student progress Partner with teachers, administrators, and families to support student outcomes Attend school meetings and contribute expertise to student support teams
