Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students during a September-November maternity leave. This full-time role involves providing speech-language services to a diverse caseload of 44-50 students, located in the vibrant community near Gig Harbor, WA. If you are a certified SLP-CCC or experienced SLPA passionate about helping young learners thrive, your expertise will make a lasting impact.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Valid SLP-CCC certification or active SLPA license (Washington state credentials required) Prior experience in a school setting, especially with elementary-aged students, strongly preferred Knowledge of IEP processes and best practices for pediatric speech and language therapy Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, administrators, and parents Ability to adapt interventions to meet a range of student needs and learning styles

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct therapeutic interventions and assessments for a caseload of 44-50 elementary students Develop, implement, and track student progress toward individualized IEP goals Maintain thorough, accurate documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines Collaborate with general and special education staff to maximize student engagement and success Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and strategies for support Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to a positive, team-oriented school environment This contract opportunity offers an excellent way to expand your experience in the school setting, connect with enthusiastic learners, and contribute your skills to a supportive learning environment.
