Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing vital speech-language pathology services in an educational setting near Longview, WA. This in-person role offers a .75 FTE schedule for the full academic year, making it ideal for professionals eager to develop strong relationships with students and staff throughout the year. Ideal candidates bring expertise in delivering school-based speech-language services, supporting student growth and success. The position centers on comprehensive assessment and intervention, ensuring each child's communication skills blossom in and out of the classroom.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Speech-Language Pathology license (SLP) with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) Prior experience in school settings highly preferred Strong knowledge of IEP development, therapy planning, and progress monitoring Exceptional communication, collaboration, and documentation skills Flexibility and adaptability in diverse educational environments
Key Responsibilities:
Assess students for speech, language, and communication needs Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in consultation with multidisciplinary teams Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy to students, both individually and in groups Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed Provide consultation and support to teachers, parents, and other school staff Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and compliance with state and federal guidelines Enjoy a collaborative school community, the satisfaction of making a meaningful impact, and professional growth within the supportive environment of a long-term contract.
