Job Description

Description The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for delivering and overseeing high-quality speech-language pathology services to individuals with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. Working under physician referral, the SLP evaluates patients, develops and implements individualized plans of care, and collaborates closely with an interdisciplinary care team to promote optimal functional outcomes. Services are provided to pediatric and adolescent populations, as well as adult inpatients and outpatients, in alignment with Swedish Medical Center standards and all applicable professional and regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive speech-language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations based on physician referrals. Develop individualized plans of care designed to maximize patient functional outcomes. Implement treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and reassess treatment effectiveness as needed. Provide direct patient care and supervise others involved in the delivery of speech-language pathology services. Actively participate in interdisciplinary care planning and discharge planning processes. Collaborate with patients, families, and significant others as part of a team-based approach to care. Deliver services across pediatric, adolescent, inpatient, and outpatient settings, as required. Ensure all services are provided in compliance with Swedish Medical Center policies, national and professional standards, state practice acts, and current evidence-based best practices. Required Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Speech/language pathology from an accredited program Washington Speech Language Pathologist License upon hire National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
