Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Bring your expertise in speech-language pathology to an engaging and collaborative school-based setting for the upcoming academic year. This contract opportunity offers the chance to support students' communication and language development in a diverse educational community. Working with a manageable caseload of 38-40, you'll provide onsite services to elementary, middle, and high school students, making a meaningful impact across multiple grade levels.

Key Qualifications:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Previous experience in school-based settings strongly preferred Ability to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders Strong communication and organizational skills State licensure for practice and Department of Public Instruction (DPI) certification required (or eligibility)

Responsibilities:

Deliver speech and language services to students in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, administrators, and parents, to support each student's academic success Maintain thorough and timely documentation, progress reports, and IEP updates Develop and implement evidence-based intervention strategies for students across a range of ages and abilities Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to assessments and planning Educate and guide staff and families regarding student needs and progress
