9682004-53215 Job Description Bring your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist to a highly flexible, part-time contract opportunity supporting a kindergarten student with unique communication needs. This rewarding position is located near Milwaukee, WI, and involves providing focused support just 45 minutes per week. Scheduling is entirely up to you within the hours of 9:30 am to 2:45 pm, making this an ideal fit for professionals seeking additional experience, a secondary assignment, or greater work-life balance. In this setting, youll work one-on-one with a nonverbal kindergartener who utilizes an AAC device, focusing primarily on building core vocabulary to foster meaningful communication. The student is on the autism spectrum, in a self-contained classroom, with developmental delays and a known history of self-harm. Your compassion, skill, and creativity can make a direct difference in their daily experiences and communication growth.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current SLP licensure in Wisconsin Previous experience with AAC devices highly preferred Familiarity with core vocabulary instruction Background in working with students on the autism spectrum and with developmental delays Compassion, patience, and strong communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
Provide targeted SLP services focusing on AAC usage and core vocabulary Collaborate with the students educational team to develop and modify strategies Document progress and adjust interventions as needed Utilize creative approaches to engage a nonverbal learner
