Who We Are Looking For:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to support clients with communication and swallowing disorders in both clinical and/or home health environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Home Health Responsibilities:

Support in assisting with in-home informal assessments for communication and language needs. Implement therapy activities tailored to the patient's home environment under the supervision of the SLP. Provide education and training to caregivers and family members on how to assist with communication and language techniques. Document therapy provided and report any significant changes in the patient's condition to the supervising SLP. Foster supportive relationships with patients and their families to encourage participation in therapy.

In-Clinic Responsibilities:

Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients. Conduct activities to improve patients' speech, language, and communication skills as directed. Monitor patient progress and provide feedback to the supervising SLP. Prepare materials and equipment for therapy sessions. Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises and strategies for practice at home. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment activities.

Qualifications:

Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field from an accredited program. Current certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) as required by the state of Arizona. Experience in a clinical and/or home health setting preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and assist patients as needed. Capacity to perform physical activities such as standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
