Job Description

Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) - Pediatric Private Practice Speech Evolution Therapy is seeking a motivated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our growing pediatric private practice serving children in clinic, home, and community settings. This position is ideal for an SLPA who enjoys working with children, is eager to learn, and values collaboration and mentorship. We are looking for someone who is open to implementing specialized treatment approaches and committed to providing high-quality, individualized therapy. Position Requirements Must be OK with a part time position , with the potential to grow into a full-time position Must be available during after-school hours (approx 3:00-5:30 PM) Some morning availability is required Experience with young children (0-3 years) AND older preschool/school-aged students Experience with challenging behaviors, Autism, and other developmental disabilities Compensation Direct therapy: Starting pay $45/hour for competent and experienced SLPAs demonstrating strong clinical skills, reliability, and independence Additional compensation provided for treatment planning support, administrative tasks, required meetings and training activities (as applicable) What We Offer Ongoing mentorship and training provided directly by an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Support with treatment planning, session preparation, and goal review Opportunities to learn and implement a variety of evidence-based treatment approaches, including Articulation/phonological therapy, AAC, Social thinking curriculum, Orofacial myofunctional and tongue thrust therapy, Language and autism-focused interventions Opportunities for growth Responsibilities Provide direct speech-language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed SLP Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising SLP Collect data, document progress, and complete required session notes Communicate professionally with families and caregivers Participate in training and supervision meetings Collaborate with the supervising SLP regarding client progress and treatment recommendations Assist with session preparation and therapy material organization
Optional:
Support light social media content creation Qualifications Current California SLPA license Strong communication and interpersonal skills Fast learner with a willingness to accept feedback and implement new strategies Comfortable learning specialized treatment approaches and following established treatment protocols Reliable, organized, and self-motivated Passion for working with pediatric clients and their families Schedule & Availability Part-time to start, with the potential to grow into a full-time position Must be available during after-school hours (approximately 3:00 PM-5:30 PM) Some morning availability is required Flexible scheduling based on client needs and caseload growth If you are enthusiastic about learning, enjoy working with children, and are looking for a supportive environment where you can continue to grow clinically, we would love to hear from you.
