Job Description
Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract This position offers an opportunity to work as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a school setting located in Concord, CA. The role requires dedication to supporting students' communication needs throughout the school year, with potential for limited extended school year (ESY) involvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide SLPA services under supervision to support speech and language goals. Manage a caseload of approximately 55 students. Complete Individualized Education Program (IEP) documentation and services. Work onsite 3 to 5 days per week, maintaining consistent engagement with students and staff. Follow a scheduled workday of 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Availability from ASAP through the end of the school year (June 5), with possible limited ESY assignments.Qualifications and Experience:
Experience or credentials as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). Ability to work under supervision, with supervision costs covered by the agency. Familiarity with school-based speech and language services is preferred. Strong organizational skills to manage a sizable caseload and complete IEPs accurately.
