Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This travel opportunity is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) seeking a school-based role in Concord, CA. The position offers a dynamic experience working on-site with a caseload of approximately 55 students during the school year. The assignment begins ASAP and extends through the end of the school year (EOSY), with potential for limited Extended School Year (ESY) work due to the programs smaller summer schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide speech-language support to students under appropriate supervision Complete and finalize Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Manage a caseload of around 55 students, delivering services 35 days per week Maintain detailed documentation and progress notes Collaborate with school staff and supervisors to ensure quality service delivery
Qualifications and Experience:
Certification or eligibility to work as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Comfortable working under supervision, with supervision costs covered by the agency Experience in school-based speech-language support preferred Strong organizational skills to manage a sizable caseload efficiently Ability to commit to 7.5-hour workdays, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch (typical hours: 8:30 AM 4:30 PM)
