Qualifications and Experience:
Associates degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant or a related field required Valid state certification or license as an SLPA Prior experience within a school setting is highly valued Strong interpersonal abilities to work with students, teachers, and families Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning atmosphere Excellent organizational and documentation skills
Responsibilities:
Provide direct support in speech and language therapy under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist Assist with implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to help students reach their communication goals Document student progress and maintain records in compliance with school and legal requirements Prepare activities and materials tailored to individual and group therapy sessions Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate effective student care Support classroom staff and offer strategies to enhance communication skills in everyday settings This contract position offers both professional development and the chance to make a visible difference in students lives as they grow in their communication abilities.
