School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Lakeside, California

Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary-aged students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) on a contract basis. This engaging role is tailored for dedicated SLPAs with school-based experience, ready to make an impact starting in October. You'll be based at a single elementary campus, working a consistent schedule each week—Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, totaling 21 hours.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid SLPA licensure required Demonstrated experience working in school settings, preferably elementary Background supporting student speech and language goals under the supervision of an SLP Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and administrative teams Organized, self-motivated, and adaptable to campus routines Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech-language support services to students as outlined in individualized education plans (IEPs), under the guidance of a supervising SLP Assist with preparation and adaptation of materials for student therapy Document student progress and maintain accurate service records Participate as an active member of the educational team, supporting a positive, student-centered environment Communicate effectively with staff and contribute to IEP discussions as needed
