Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant, where you will play a vital role in supporting speech therapy services across diverse settings. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with licensed speech-language pathologists, children, and individuals with disabilities to improve communication skills and enhance quality of life. Your expertise will contribute to implementing tailored therapy plans, supporting language development, and fostering positive outcomes for clients of all ages. Responsibilities Assist in the delivery of speech-language therapy plans under the supervision of licensed speech-language pathologists Support children and individuals with speech and language disorders through engaging therapy activities Contribute to early intervention programs and school-based services, focusing on child language development and communication skills Implement therapy strategies aimed at supporting clients with voice, articulation, fluency, and language disorders Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients with disabilities or special needs Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and client communications in compliance with privacy standards Support telehealth therapy sessions by preparing materials and assisting with virtual interventions when applicable Qualifications Prior experience working with children and students with disabilities in educational or clinical settings is highly preferred Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to speech-language pathology Familiarity with speech disorders support strategies and speech-language therapy plan implementation Experience working in acute care environments or pediatrics is a plus Strong understanding of child language development and early intervention techniques Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, educators, and healthcare professionals Bilingual skills are advantageous for serving diverse populations Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams in speech-language pathology This paid role is ideal for motivated individuals passionate about making a meaningful impact through speech therapy support.
