Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Make a difference in students' lives by providing meaningful support as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a vibrant TK-12 district. This rewarding contract opportunity will have you working with a student body of approximately 3,650 learners, where your expertise and compassion will help drive communication growth from transitional kindergarten through high school. The district spans all grade levels, making this an exceptional chance to broaden your experience and enrich your professional journey.
Key Qualifications:
Valid SLPA license required for California Previous experience in school-based settings is highly desirable Understanding of speech-language development, communication disorders, and intervention strategies Ability to collaborate effectively with supervising SLPs, educators, and families Strong organizational and communication skills Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and supporting a positive school climate
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver speech-language interventions under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students across all grades Support data collection and progress monitoring for targeted speech and language goals Prepare engaging therapy materials and adapt activities to diverse student needs Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to enhance students' academic and social success Foster a welcoming and encouraging therapy environment for all students This position spans the full academic year, from August 10, 2026, through June 4, 2027, offering a unique opportunity to follow students' growth and progress over time.
