Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to join our team. Valley of the Moon Speech & Language is a private practice in Sonoma, CA. The ideal candidate will work with individuals of all ages, focusing on treating speech, language, and communication disorders under qualified Speech-Language Pathologist. This role is essential in helping clients improve their communication skills and overall quality of life. The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant will collaborate with other healthcare professionals, educators, and families to create effective treatment plans tailored to each individual's needs. This is a part time position with potential to grow with our company and service demand. Duties Private practice and school setting available Implement therapeutic interventions to improve speech clarity, language comprehension, and social communication skills across the lifespan. Work collaboratively with SLP and staff to support students' communication needs in educational settings and private Educate clients and families about communication disorders and strategies for improvement. Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes. Skills Proficiency in speech therapy techniques and methodologies to serve a variety of ages Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to communication disorders. Background in pediatrics is highly desirable, particularly experience working with children in a school environment. Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients, families, and colleagues. Ability to develop engaging therapy sessions that motivate clients to achieve their goals.
