Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) or Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) supporting students for a 3-4 month maternity leave. This position begins in August and is located within a vibrant school community near Sunnyvale and Palo Alto, CA. Desired Qualifications:

Valid SLPA license or SLP credentials in California Experience supporting children or adolescents in school-based settings Strong collaboration skills to consult and partner with educators, families, and school teams Ability to adapt to diverse student needs and individualized education plans (IEPs) Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and fostering a positive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

Work with students individually or in small groups to address speech and language goals Deliver speech interventions as directed by supervising SLP Support classroom teachers with strategies for communication support Collect and organize data for progress monitoring Assist in preparing therapy materials and maintaining documentation Participate in IEP meetings as needed and communicate progress with educational teams and families Adapt therapy activities to meet diverse learning styles and cultural backgrounds
