Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding role supporting students' communication growth as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant in a dynamic school environment near Sunnyvale, CA. In this onsite contract position, you'll collaborate daily with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists, providing both direct and indirect services tailored to each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP). Direct supervision and ongoing mentorship will ensure you're empowered to deliver exceptional care, while also advancing your professional skills.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences, or related field, or an AAS from an SLPA program Active SLPA certification and licensure for school-based practice Stellar oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, especially in fast-paced or high-stress situations Ability to provide support at multiple school locations if needed; reliable transportation to travel between buildings may be required Commitment to working onsite; remote/virtual work is not available
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver evidence-based speech and language services, adapting strategies based on individual student needs Partner with supervising SLPs and education staff to develop and implement effective interventions Maintain detailed student records in alignment with IEP guidelines and district policies Support students' progress through both direct therapy and indirect services or consultations
