Job Description

- - () A school district in the Bronson, FL area is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for an immediate opening through the remainder of the 2026-2027 school year. This position will support students at Chiefland Elementary School and Chiefland Middle High School with a caseload of approximately 60-65 students with varying exceptionalities. The district is primarily seeking a full-time SLPA for 37.5 hours per week but will also consider candidates interested in a part-time schedule of approximately 22.5 hours per week. Depending on the school assignment, daily hours will generally be either 8:00 AM-3:30 PM or 7:30 AM-3:00 PM. : Provide speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist Develop and maintain therapy schedules and provide services according to student needs Assist with evaluations and student screenings within the SLPA scope of practice Complete Medicaid billing and required service documentation Support IEP documentation and participate in IEP meetings as appropriate Complete student progress reports and maintain accurate records Collaborate with supervising SLPs, teachers, families, and other school staff Support students with a variety of communication needs and exceptionalities : District utilizes a 3:1 monthly service model 3 weeks per month are dedicated primarily to direct therapy services 1 week per month is dedicated to indirect services, including meetings, evaluations, documentation, and other responsibilities : Previous school-based or pediatric SLPA experience preferred Experience supporting students with varying exceptionalities is preferred Experience with IEP documentation, Medicaid billing, and progress reporting is a plus & : Active Florida SLPA license required Must meet all Florida and school district requirements for Speech-Language Pathology Assistant practice :
