Job Description

Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. We're seeking dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) for several part-time contract positions. Multiple campuses are available, offering a dynamic and engaging environment near Fort Myers, FL. With a caseload of approximately 50-55 students, you'll play a vital role in facilitating communication strategies and empowering student success. Positions start August 11, 2026, and continue through May 27, 2027, with the possibility of increased hours up to full-time depending on supervision availability.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active Florida Department of Health SLPA license is required. Previous experience working in school settings is highly valued. Must be comfortable traveling to multiple elementary and middle school locations. Clear understanding of privacy regulations and ethical practices in school-based therapy. Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with supervising SLPs, teachers, and parents.
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct therapy services under the supervision of a certified Speech-Language Pathologist. Implement individualized plans and document student progress. Work with students across elementary and middle school settings. Collaborate with multidisciplinary educational teams to support student goals. Complete required paperwork and maintain thorough records according to school standards. Participate in ongoing training and supervision as needed. This on-site position provides part-time hours ranging from 7.5 to 22.5 weekly, with flexibility to increase up to 37.5 hours if supervision allows. To ensure compliance, all candidates must successfully complete background fingerprinting and secure a JLA badge before starting. Prior Florida school district credentials may transfer.
