School Based Speech Language Pathology Assistant, Lee County, FL A school-based Speech Language Pathology Assistant can make a meaningful difference by helping students strengthen their communication skills and participate more confidently in the classroom. In this role, the SLPA works under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to support students with speech, language, articulation, fluency, and communication needs throughout the school day. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Completion of at least 24 semester hours of coursework required for Florida SLPA certification, including coursework related to speech, hearing, language development, communication disorders, phonetics, articulation, screening, therapy, audiometry, or auditory training. Active Florida Department of Health Speech Language Pathology Assistant certification, or eligibility to obtain Florida

certification. Ability to work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist. School-based or pediatric experience preferred. Duties and Responsibilities Provide speech and language support services to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist. Assist with implementation of therapy activities and strategies aligned with student IEP goals. Document student progress, therapy activities, and service delivery as directed by the supervising SLP. Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and the supervising SLP to support student communication needs in the school setting.
