Job Description

Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available in a K-12 school setting located in Lake Wales, FL. This contract role runs from August 2026 through May 2027, offering a 37.5-hour workweek across five days. The position focuses on supporting students on the speech and language caseload, delivering specialized assistance in collaboration with licensed speech-language pathologists.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the implementation of speech and language therapy programs for K-12 students. Support direct treatment services under the supervision of speech-language pathologists. Monitor student progress and document therapy outcomes. Collaborate with school staff and families to support communication goals. Participate in planning and administrative tasks related to speech-language services. Adhere to all licensing and school policies, ensuring a safe and productive environment.
Qualifications:
Active Florida Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) License is required. Experience working with school-aged children in therapy settings is preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
