Job Description
We currently have a need for a full time (35 hours/week) Speech/Language Pathologist Assistant (SLP-A) to service our Lakeland, Bartow, and Winter Haven Campuses. The Achievement Academy is a developmental pre-school servicing special needs children between the ages of 2-6. Hours are 8:00-3:00 Monday through Friday. The Achievement Academy follows the Polk County school calendar including holidays and summers off. Candidates MUST have a bachelor's degree in communicative disorders/sciences and either hold/or be eligible for current Florida Licensure. Some pediatric experience is preferred. SLP-A responsibilities include; working with supervising SLP in providing individual therapy sessions to address concerns in articulation, language delays, and feeding/swallowing development, as well as completion of all necessary paperwork (data collection, attendance, quarterly progress reports, etc.).
