School Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant, contributing directly to the success of students with communication needs in a dynamic school environment near Moore Haven, FL. In this onsite role, you'll collaborate with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists and provide critical support and intervention to school-aged children. Your work will ensure students receive the services outlined in their IEPs while benefiting from strong supervision and a welcoming professional community.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Speech Communications, or related field, or AAS degree from an SLPA program Active SLPA licensure or certification Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a calm, professional demeanor during high-stress or crisis situations Comfortable traveling between multiple school sites as needed Committed to partnering with staff and families to support student growth Onsite presence required (no virtual option)
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and indirect speech and language interventions in accordance with students' IEPs Maintain accurate and timely session notes and progress data Partner with supervising SLPs for ongoing feedback and professional development Effectively communicate progress and recommendations to educators and parents Adapt to different school settings throughout the day as required
