Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract An exciting opportunity awaits for two dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Assistants eager to support student communication development in a school-based setting near Orange Park, FL. These full-time contract roles run from ASAP through May 28, 2026, with a schedule of 35 hours per week on-site only—remote assignments are not available. Assignments will likely focus on a single school campus, details to be confirmed. You'll have the chance to make a real impact in two settings: One position will work alongside a virtual Speech-Language Pathologist, providing in-person facilitation of speech services. The second role will involve managing a traditional caseload and delivering direct speech services to students. Ages served will vary, ensuring a dynamic and rewarding experience.
Qualifications:
Completion of active
FL DOH SLPA
licensure (required) Previous school-based experience as an SLPA preferred Ability to collaborate effectively with SLPs, teachers, and school staff Proficiency in supporting individualized education plans (IEPs) Strong communication skills with students and families
Responsibilities:
Provide speech-language services and support per SLP direction Maintain documentation as required by the district Assist in implementing IEP goals and accommodations Monitor student progress and report updates to supervising SLPs Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development Candidates must complete district-required fingerprinting—if you have prior FL school district prints, be prepared to verify via the AHCA Clearinghouse and apply for the JLA badge. This process may take up to 10 business days. Those selected will earn between $35 and $40 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
