Key Responsibilities:
Support Therapy Sessions:
Assist the SLP in conducting therapy sessions for children with speech, language, fluency, or communication disorders.
Implement Treatment Plans:
Follow and implement individualized treatment plans as directed by the supervising SLP. Assist in therapeutic activities that target speech, language, voice, and fluency.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of treatment plans, patient progress, and daily session notes in accordance with clinic standards and state regulations.
Data Collection:
Collect and record client data during therapy sessions, including tracking progress toward goals and documenting changes in behavior, speech, or language abilities.
Parental/Family Support:
Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding the child's progress, home practice exercises, and strategies to enhance speech development outside of therapy sessions.
Behavior Management:
Help children remain engaged during therapy sessions using appropriate behavior management techniques and support the development of social communication skills. Assist in

Provide support during speech and language assessments by setting up materials, observing clients, and documenting results as directed by the supervising SLP.
Collaboration:

Qualifications:
Education:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or a related field.
Certification:
Valid state certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), or the equivalent in your state or region. Some states may require national certification.
Experience:
Prior experience working with children in a clinical, school, or therapy setting preferred but not required. Experience in speech therapy assistance or in a pediatric healthcare setting is a plus.
Skills:
Knowledge of speech and language development, therapy techniques, and pediatric disorders. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with children, parents, and staff. Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with children.
