Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathology professional specializing in school settings, located in Naperville, IL. This position supports students ranging from Kindergarten through 6th grade, providing essential speech and language services within a structured school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students in a school-based setting. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs. Collaborate with educators and other support staff to ensure holistic student progress. Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes. Participate in educational team meetings and provide input on student development.
Qualifications:
Credentials such as Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), SLP with Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY), or Certified Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) in speech-language pathology. Experience working with school-aged children, preferably K-6. Ability to manage a caseload with up to 6 students per classroom, currently serving around 22 students. Strong communication and organizational skills. Commitment to providing a supportive and inclusive environment for students.
Work Schedule:
School year hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Extended School Year (ESY) hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Current school year ends May 29th; ESY runs from June 1st through June 29th. The 2026-2027 school year begins for staff on Thursday, August 13th. This role presents an immediate opening, ideal for professionals seeking to make a meaningful impact in a school community during the academic year and summer programming.
