Candidates must hold an earned doctoral degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) or related area (Ph.D. or Ed.

D) from an accredited institution. They must demonstrate a significant record of university teaching experience, clinical expertise and a line of scholarly work within the CSD disciplines. Faculty report to the SLP Program Director. Responsibilities Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration, and active support of the University's Mission in Catholic and Lasallian higher education. Developing and teaching didactic academic courses in the SLP curriculum, including undergraduate prerequisite and graduate courses. Developing and executing a line of scholarly research that results in dissemination of knowledge. Participating in the clinical education of SLP students, including mentorship of student scholarly projects, clinical practicum and/or community outreach projects. Completing service to the program, college, university and our profession. Recording student assessment data to document their achievement at midterm and end of each semester. Participation in departmental meetings, graduation ceremonies, and other meetings or events, as required. Performing other duties as assigned by the administrators of the SLP program. Minimum Qualifications Earned master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related area, experience in providing clinical education to SLP graduate students, and at least 10 years of full-time experience as a licensed, certified speech-language pathologist. Must hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech-language pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and must hold or be eligible for the Illinois state speech-language pathology license.
