Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract A Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is needed for an on-site contract position in Lake Charles, LA. This role provides valuable support within the school setting, assisting certified speech-language pathologists in delivering quality speech therapy services to students. The special education department is highly supportive, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. Key responsibilities include managing a caseload of students requiring speech and language support, implementing therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist, and maintaining accurate records and progress documentation. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available.
Qualifications and experience:
Active Louisiana state SLPA licensure required by start date Prior experience in school or pediatric settings preferred but not mandatory Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Commitment to providing compassionate and effective support to students
